About
Romeo and Juliet: The Metamorphosis is an art collection that reinterprets Shakespeare’s tragedy as a metaphor for the erosion of human connection in the digital age.
While Shakespeare’s lovers are destroyed by external conflict and the inability to communicate, today similar dynamics emerge from within a hyper-connected world. Technology, algorithms, and constant information flow increasingly push individuals toward isolation, self-focus, and emotional withdrawal, weakening empathy and genuine understanding between people.
The Collection
The Exhibition consists of twenty physical paintings arranged in a sequence with augmented reality multimedia components that can be accessed with a smartphone.
