Solitude

Descrizione

A reproduction of “Solitude“, this artwork is part of Alex Righetto’s new collection, The Metamorphosis, first unveiled in Verona in 2024.

Solitude by Alex Righetto is a poignant exploration of one of the most profound challenges in relationships—loneliness. In this oil on canvas, Righetto captures Romeo in a moment of deep introspection, engulfed by the quiet ache of isolation despite being in love.

The painting conveys the emotional distance that can arise even in the closest of bonds, illustrating the solitary burden Romeo carries. Through muted tones and subtle, expressive details, Righetto conveys the complexity of feeling alone while still connected to another. Solitude invites viewers to reflect on the emotional nuances of relationships, where love does not always shield one from the experience of loneliness.
